1992
Founded by the Hindu Society
Westridge is established as a co-educational community school within the premises of the Gujarati School, with the help of the Hindu Society — on Mahatma Gandhi Road, Ridgeview, Harare.
1993
The doors open
A single stream welcomes its first pupils in Grades 1 to 5. The school grows steadily, and a second stream is added for Grades 1 and 2.
1994
ZIMSEC preparation begins
Westridge starts preparing learners for the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council examinations.
2000
The E Block
The Hindu Society completes the E Block, and Westridge becomes double-stream in every grade up to Grade 7.
2009
Cambridge Checkpoint
Learners begin sitting Cambridge Checkpoint in Mathematics, English and Science — internationally benchmarked assessment.
Today
34 years on
More than 450 learners and 31 teachers from ECD to Grade 7 — an ATS-accredited independent day school, and a key feeder for Westridge High School.
