HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The birth and growth of Westridge Primary School from a small community-aided school to a fully functioning and successful institution is an achievement made possible by the collective efforts of the Hindu Society, dedicated heads, board of governors, parents and teachers.
Founded in 1992, Westridge Primary School was established as a co-educational community school within the premises of the Gujarati School with the help of the Hindu Society. The school is located in the suburb of Ridgeview on Mahatma Gandhi Road, in Harare.
In 1993, Westridge Primary School opened its doors with a single stream to its first group of pupils in Grades 1 to 5. The school has grown steadily since its inception. A second stream was added for Grades 1 and 2 respectively. By the year 2000, the Hindu Society had finished building the "E Block" and Westridge Primary School expanded to a double-stream in each grade up to Grade 7.
